The day after our hospital visit, we got back too late for breakfast. Instead of empty buffet tables, the team had waited for us and the chef made a fresh, delicious omelet with other breakfast treats. Youssef had also helped us with the urgent medical situation the night before. He found the right hospital, lent us the admission fee when we had no cash, came to see us there, and helped us get through the heavy nighttime traffic back to the hotel. He was there at every step, more like a close friend or family than a hotel employee. From the moment we arrived, Youssef and Adil made us feel genuinely welcome, almost as if we’d checked in with relatives. Youssef also shared fascinating details about Morocco’s history and important events in Agadir, which was lovely since we knew very little about either. We left rested and a little wiser. This place gives you a real sense of care, humanity, and belonging, as well as somewhere to sleep. Thanks to Youssef, Adil, and the whole team, it’s one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had.

We found £100 worth of Dirhams missing from our in-room safe during our stay, and we were certain about the amount. When we reported it, the first staff member seemed unconcerned, which alarmed us. Management handled the follow-up terribly. We were leaving that day and were promised an update by phone, but nobody called. We had to chase them, and their email first said nobody had entered our room, then contradicted that and confirmed housekeeping had been in. They were defensive and denied staff could have accessed the safe. I told them I’d used my date of birth as the code, which they knew from the passport copy on file. Their dismissive manner and conflicting responses left us 100% certain an employee had taken the money. We felt unsafe and believe guests should avoid this property at all costs. Given the theft and what we see as the hotel’s deliberate refusal to investigate or take responsibility, we do not recommend staying here.

We stayed one night, then decided to leave. The breakfast, room, and service were all a major letdown and nowhere near the standard we expected. With the reception area under full construction and the surrounding area noisy and unfinished, the atmosphere was unpleasant. I also found it concerning that genuine reviews seem to be deleted, which makes me question how reliable the ratings are. It’s hard to see how this hotel can charge the same rates as established five-star places like the Hilton, Hyatt Regency, or Radisson. This wasn’t the experience we wanted, and it certainly wasn’t worth the price.

The neighborhood wasn’t great, with lots of work underway on homes and sidewalks, but I still had a wonderful stay. It’s a quick walk to the beach one way and to amazing restaurants the other. Breakfast was genuinely decent, the Wi-Fi worked really well, and the balcony with its nice view was a welcome surprise. The hotel is being renovated, which was the main thing I noticed. My room was beautiful, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom felt luxurious, except for the shower that splashed everywhere, like those low-wall showers in new hotels. Staff were super friendly and spent ages helping us safely open our luggage after we lost the lock key. They sent someone up, who eventually broke it open safely.
