Suite Hotel Tilila

The hotel is comfortable, in a perfect location, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast costs only 3€, but it’s a small serving: a hot drink, orange juice, a croissant, and three pieces of bread with butter and jam. One wasn’t enough for me, so I paid for a second breakfast.

The bed was very comfortable, and free air conditioning was a nice bonus. The rooms were kept very clean, and there’s a pleasant little pool with loungers beside it, good for cooling off. It’s a short walk to the beach. The rooms are nice but basic, so bring utensils if you plan to cook, as there’s very little cutlery.

The room was okay, and I actually like a firm bed, so that part suited me. Still, there wasn’t much special about it, and the soundproofing was only so-so. Traffic noise came through, which didn’t bother me, but light sleepers may have trouble. The pool also wasn’t inviting, set in what’s basically the parking lot with only a fence between. That was fine for me, but there’s no nice poolside setup. What really colored the stay was the atmosphere. I found Tilila eerie, and the poor breakfast didn’t help. It’s included in the price, but it was just a few pieces of dry baguette, a croissant, black coffee, jam, and butter. The bread was so dry I don’t think you’d find it elsewhere in the city, and they consider it expired and won’t sell it. You can pay for other menu items, but a place advertising free breakfast should do better. Other places in Agadir certainly do. After checking out, I went to breakfast and then realized I’d left my huge protein drink in the fridge. I was still at the hotel and easy for staff to reach, but when I went back for it about 45 minutes later, it was gone. I know things left in a room after checkout are theirs, but they knew I was still there. I guess they wanted it more. It’s nothing serious, but after an already disappointing stay, it left a bad taste. I’m sorry, but I can’t recommend the place.

The room was quite nice, though it could use a little refresh. The cleaners tidied it every day. There’s no hair dryer or iron at the hotel, which was a downside. The staff were really friendly, the location is very good near the ocean, and the food was amazing. I never had a disappointing breakfast or dinner, and the prices were reasonable. Would I come back? Definitely ❤️😁
