Zephyr Agadir

The staff were welcoming and efficient, and our spacious studio for two was clean and fairly quiet, facing away from the road. It's a modern, stylish hotel. Breakfast was just adequate: there was no meat or fruit, and empty platters took a while to get refilled.

At around £50-£60 for a room, this is a good hotel in a nice area with lots of restaurants nearby. You may see people rummaging through bins outside and hear stray dogs barking at night. That's outside the hotel's control, but it isn't nice to see. Most other services, including fitness and breakfast, are in the adjacent building. I'd want a room at the back, since the front rooms face a main road. The hotel has 24-hour security on all sides.

We used Zephyr Agadir as a base for a week of exploring the city and nearby areas. The hotel is comfortable and well located, with a clean room and very friendly lobby staff. Thanks especially to Adil and Hala for helping us and arranging a late checkout. Breakfast was good, though after a week we got tired of the limited variety. The big pool and breakfast area are in another building, about a 100-meter walk from the main hotel.

We had a lovely three nights for the money, though if we'd slept less wine-induced, the road noise might have bothered us more. Our group had a three-bedroom apartment for three nights at £60 per room each night, £180 total per night. It was clean and adequate, though the bathrooms looked a bit tired. With an apartment setup, I think the price gave us a good stay, but anyone expecting a resort may be disappointed. Road noise was the main problem. Most nights, motorbikes and car horns carried on until about 3am, with kids using the straight road outside like a race track. That's unlikely to change, so bear it in mind. Breakfast was included and fine for us, though we're not fussy. Coffee, croissants, an omelette, and orange juice should suit you. The pool was lovely. There is music, but I found it appropriate, and the big pool seemed to be shared with a local leisure centre, so there were kids there. The private hotel pool was empty, but didn't seem to get sun until late afternoon. The staff were attentive, sorted out a few issues, and arranged taxis. Very good service.
