Riad Kaiss by Anika

The location near the southern end of the Medina was excellent, with easy access to the square and several attractions. The historic Riad was beautiful, and the hammam was lovely, amazing, and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent too, but the staff made the place special. Everyone was kind and helpful. Service has a Moroccan, European, French style: unassuming and slower paced, and sometimes you need to ask for things, but they always do them with a smile and want to help. Choosing a riad online can be a bit of a gamble, but Riad Kaiss in Marrakech worked out wonderfully. My one very minor criticism is that it was a little challenging to contact them before our stay because different social media accounts listed different phone numbers. I passed that along, and they were trying to fix it based on my feedback. I appreciated that they wanted to improve and give guests the best experience they could. We highly recommend staying at Riad Kaiss.

The team gave us world class service, at the highest standard imaginable. We'd recruit from Riad Kaiss by Anika if we ran a riad or hotel. Congratulations to whoever trained them. Nawal at reception treated nothing as too much trouble and went out of her way to sort out questions with the tour company I'd booked. Osama was the first smiling face at breakfast, eager to please and always offering more of whatever we seemed to enjoy. Mostafa, the night manager, was a consummate professional, warm and welcoming, constantly caring, available, and proactive. These staff members made every day in Marrakech a pleasure. The riad is very well located, just a short walk from Jamaa El Fna, Africa’s greatest public square, where the buzz is electric. We booked through Booking.com, where Room 4 was described as a Deluxe Room. We wanted a character-filled riad, not a cookie-cutter hotel room, but hadn't expected the bed to be so close to the wall on one side. The toilet sits in a very small 'cove', and if you're a little large, it could make for a very uncomfortable visit. We were fine, though more room to maneuver would've helped. The internet was also very spotty. Maybe other rooms are better, but we can't say.

An amazing oasis tucked into the Marrakech medina, with wonderful rooms, food, and surroundings. The team makes you feel like nothing is too much trouble, and the location is great for exploring Marrakech. I'd say it's the best riad in Morocco. Highly recommended!
