Getting away from the bustle of Marrakesh was the best part of our trip, and the camp's quiet, dreamy atmosphere made us wish we'd booked more than one night. We stayed in a couple's lodge, with a comfortable king-size bed, hot water bottles to warm the sheets after dinner, a stylish bathroom, a separate sitting area, and a private terrace looking out over the dessert. The staff went above and beyond. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and well prepared in a relaxing, beautifully decorated dining area, though we would have liked slightly larger portions or a buffet option. We also loved the garden, the nighttime fire, the care given to the animals, and all the thoughtful details around the camp. The camel ride and 4x4 transfer back to the city were a lot of fun too. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return.

The camel ride was great, and the animals all seemed happy and well cared for. Make sure to say hi to Gafay the cat. She loves cuddles and may even try to spend the night in your tent. I loved the beautiful scenery and the very nice staff. The tents were neat, and if you like a firm mattress, you'll love the beds.

The setting is beautiful and the food was okay, but I honestly wouldn't recommend staying here. There are many more tents than I expected, and the price feels high for the service. Everything felt chaotic. Check-in took ages, and before dinner our cocktails took 20 minutes to arrive, then they were the wrong ones. I told the bartender, who looked at me and said nothing, then carried on with other orders. We waited another 15 minutes for the right drinks. After we asked the floor manager, they suddenly appeared. All the activities were in French, so we couldn't join the stargazing. They should mention that in advance.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the food was very tasty, especially the traditional Moroccan tagine. There are also lovely spots to sit by an outdoor fire after dinner. But we didn't feel welcome, and the service was poor. We had to wait around and ask for basic things, and the only information about meal times and facilities was in a small room booklet. The evening meal was a set menu based on meat, so we had to ask about choices for the vegetarian and children in our group. The dining area was covered and had outdoor gas heaters; it got too hot, and later filled with gas after a guest turned off a heater without turning off the gas. The buffet looked lovely when we arrived, but we didn't eat any and they still tried to charge us for it. The shower was only intermittently hot, and both pools looked a little green and murky after the day visitors left. Breakfast was cold pancakes and omelette, and we waited a long time for a knife to spread the jam and butter.
