The owner’s passion for the kasbah’s history came through as he showed us around and told us about his family. We only meant to make a quick visit, but it became one of the memorable moments of our trip. You can see the care he puts into restoring it piece by piece and keeping its character intact. It felt like being welcomed into a living story, not just making a tourist stop. A real hidden gem on the way to the coast, even if you can only stop briefly.

The hosts made us feel at home with their warm welcome and stories about the kasbah and the region. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the peaceful atmosphere was lovely. This 350-year-old guest house was beautifully restored in 2006, with its history and authentic charm still intact alongside modern comfort. We also loved the views at sunrise and sunset. A special place for anyone drawn to history and culture in the Moroccan desert.

You can stay the night or just visit and hear about the old city’s history. The owner’s family lived here for many years, and he’s gradually restoring the place to its original state. It’s a real piece of history. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.
