I called reception while looking the place up on Maps, hoping to book a room, have tea, and see the property. To my surprise, they said that wasn't possible and that they accept foreign guests only. I'm Moroccan and was ready to pay like anyone else, so I can't understand a policy that seems to favor foreigners over Moroccans. Really disappointing. A place like this should welcome everyone.

The gardens were lush and tropical, with rooms dotted around the grounds, and the boys especially loved the pool. After a long day, we could finally relax. We were there for one night on a desert tour, just our family of two adults and two children alongside a larger adult tour group. The hotel is a little oasis behind walls, reached by a narrow dirt road. The friendly owner introduced himself, service was great, and we enjoyed the included dinner and breakfast by the pool. A lovely place to rest on the way to the Sahara.

Breakfast was good, and I can see the pool area being especially appealing in summer. In winter, though, it didn't feel quite ready for guests. For MAD900/ night, I expected better quality furniture and fittings in the room.

The garden and pool area are beautifully designed, with world class views. Tucked along a dirt road among ruined kasbahs, the hotel has a setting that's charming and unlike anywhere else. The food was very nice, and the service friendly and helpful. I actually liked that there were no televisions in the rooms. A special place.
