Kasbah Valentine

We loved dinner on the rooftop. The beef tajine and lamb couscous were both full of flavor, and breakfast was rich and delicious. Said was very kind and helped with every little request. We stayed one night to see the old town of ait ben haddou. The room was big enough and had a window. It was a little hot, but fortunately there was air conditioning. We can definitely recommend both the hotel and restaurant.

The rooftop view was breathtaking, with a panorama that really captured the surrounding area. Being near the main road was convenient too, and made it easy to explore the city’s lively streets and markets. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was a lovely start to the day, with authentic flavors and care in how it was served. The owner’s manner felt abrupt and unfriendly, which took away from the hospitality. Our family room was cramped and smaller than I’d hoped, though manageable for the price. I’d rate the stay 7 out of 10. There were some good parts, and the rooftop and breakfast helped make it memorable.

The food was top quality, with fresh ingredients. We had chicken and vegetable tagine, vegetable couscous, and very nice starters, all really yummy. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service lovely. We were just starting our holiday in Morocco, and this was our first dinner in the country. We were a bit unsure where to go, so chose the restaurant based on other reviews. Glad we did. Go and enjoy it, highly recommend!

We ended up staying a few extra nights because the road was closed, and the owner was very accommodating. He checked for us several times to see whether it had reopened. I found him respectful and helpful, with no issues at all, and genuinely kind-hearted. The room was clean and the water was warm, despite some reviews saying otherwise. It was a bit cold in December, though it’s hard to find accommodation that’s properly heated at that time of year. Good value for money, and I’d stay again.
