Gite Café Rueda - Hostel

We keep coming back with our family. Our children have stayed in some wonderful places, and this is one of the best. It’s clean and comfortable, the staff are respectful and cooperative, and the service is excellent. A great family hotel. Thanks to management for the kind treatment and ongoing attention to guests.

The rooftop valley views are incredible, and it’s a great spot for yoga. The rock is excellent for climbing, and you can ask for a guidebook there. I spent a week at the place on a climbing trip and had a fantastic time. The staff were always ready to help with whatever we needed. The rooms are spacious, with plenty of room to rest, read, or enjoy their delicious food.

We found another hotel about 100 meters from this place, and the difference was like night and day. Once home, we had to wash all our belongings in hot water and leave them in the sun for at least 72 hours. That’s how this stay ended for us. I’d arranged a five-night stay for four people, from September 15 to 20, 2025. I contacted the manager on August 7, and she gave me all the information I needed. When I explained which rooms I wanted, she sent some beautiful pictures. On August 26, I transferred the cost of one night to secure the two rooms. We arrived around 7:30 or 8 p.m. on September 15. The man at reception first offered two rooms that weren’t next to each other. I explained that we wanted rooms close together, and that was sorted out. But the rooms looked nothing like the pictures. I was very disappointed. The receptionist said the hotel was full. After a long day, we went to bed, but the biting started. We shut all the windows to keep mosquitoes out, yet it went on all night. By dawn I’d slept maybe two hours. My wife and I got up to look for the creatures and found bed bugs. I caught two or three and took them to the man at reception. He didn’t explain or comment, just suggested we change rooms. By then, the bugs had gotten into our suitcases. I told the manager too, and we left that dirty hole. Later she messaged to say it was the first time she’d heard of bed bugs. This was our experience, sincerely and honestly. A very bad stay.

The people here are really kind and caring. Such a lovely place, one of the prettiest spots to stay in the area.
