Atlas Chateau

The guesthouse was quiet, clean, and warm, and the person in charge treated us with respect and made us feel welcome. A wonderful experience, with generous hospitality. I highly recommend this place.

Getting to the hostel was difficult because the road was rough and felt risky. The service disappointed us, and our room didn't match the photos online. When we raised the issue, we were told to leave, despite arriving at 8:30 p.m. after a long day of driving.

We booked Driss for a day hike in the Atlas Mountains in Imlil, and his friendly, personable manner won us over right away. He's a capable hiking guide with a genuinely pleasant nature, and along the way he shared lots about the country, its people, and its culture as a fellow countryman. After the hike, his family prepared a delicious typical Moroccan lunch in the small Berber village at Atlas Chateau, where the atmosphere was very warm. The hike and lunch were perfect, so we give it five stars and will book Driss again on our next Atlas Mountains trip. Anne, Ina, Melanie, Monika and Angela from Düsseldorf thank you very much.

We happily added another night at this charming hotel. The hosts were hospitable and helpful, and could arrange quality tea, coffee, and food. The decor felt homely, and the views were amazing. It's a pleasant little way from the center of Imlil, though the wifi wasn't very good and there wasn't a smaller light for reading. I hadn't expected much wifi up in the mountains, so it was still five stars.
