As a woman traveling alone, I found this hostel a good value for a low budget. It’s easy to find, the host is kind, and the rooms are clean. The rooftop view is lovely, and the shower gets hot, which can be hard to find at other hostels nearby. Bread, jam and tea for breakfast are included with the reservation. There are guests from both Morocco and abroad. One thing to know if you’re walking: it’s uphill to reach the hostel, then there are more stairs to the room, so it might not suit older visitors.

Mohamed was a fantastic host, friendly and so helpful. He made me feel at home and was always around with advice about the area. Gîte Akioud Mazzik is a lovely base for exploring the mountains. Thanks for a great stay!

Affordable and comfortable, and Mohammed was a friendly, helpful host. He even let me leave my bike with him while I climbed toubkal.

We had plenty of blankets and a heater, so the room didn’t feel that cold. The beds were sturdy and comfortable, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Really nice people, and a great deal!

Mohammad was such a warm, welcoming and attentive host, and his hospitality made our stay special. The room was spotless and comfortable. It’s a great fit for families, or for backpackers and couples who like meeting people, sharing stories and having good conversations. I’d recommend it to anyone after a clean, cozy, friendly place to stay.
