Widiane Villas

Mouna was especially attentive and supportive, even during the busy Eid holiday. From the Lake View rooms, the scenery is breathtaking, and the region's distinctive Berber charm makes the atmosphere feel authentic and memorable. Widiane Resort is a hidden gem that went beyond what I expected. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The drive here is a bonus, with winding roads crossing the Atlas Mountains. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with views over the lake. If you're lucky, the mascot peacock may come over to greet you. A fantastic experience and a must-stop on a trip around Morocco.

Anas, our server, made the stay much more enjoyable. He was attentive, professional, and responsive, and our orders and requests were handled promptly and carefully. We also appreciated the spa staff member who took time to explain the available treatments and services. We hope the hotel takes the service issues into account, because the property has a lot of potential. At arrival, no one explained the room or hotel facilities, and calls to both the front desk and housekeeping went unanswered despite several attempts during the day. The hotel seemed short-staffed, especially at reception. When I went down, I saw the receptionist chatting on the phone while guest calls apparently weren't being handled. A staff member also opened our room door without knocking, which made us uncomfortable. Better service organization could significantly improve the overall guest experience.

If you book here, request a room in the new area. The old section needs serious maintenance, cleaning, and renovation, and I wouldn't accept a room in that building. The bathroom was unacceptable, with visible mold and fungus around the sink, as well as cockroach remains. I showed the check-in staff the photos I took, but he showed no interest in my complaint and didn't apologize. The room hadn't been properly cleaned when we arrived, and coffee and tea supplies weren't replenished during our stay. In one of the rooms we booked, the bedroom spotlights flickered and could give you a headache. The 'single' room had two single beds pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap that my body kept sinking into and making it hard to sleep. The breakfast staff were helpful, and the location is convenient. The new area appears much better maintained. If you can't get a room there, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
