Our room was clean, and the staff did their best with 50+ unhappy Royal Air Maroc passengers, some of whom had unrealistic expectations. We spent 24 hours here after a missed connection and were given three meals. The bar was decent in the evening, though bottled water wasn’t sold outside its hours. You can buy some at the airport or across the road at a 24-hour petrol station. The rooms are basic and tired, and some sockets don’t work. If you booked RAM, you were probably looking for a cheap flight, so a five-star hotel wasn’t likely. They’re probably already losing money by putting people up here.

Breakfast was okay, with fresh fruit, though the bread was cold and stale. The room was freezing, but reception can lend you a heater. The water pressure was decent; the hair dryer was broken, and they had no replacement. The door felt unstable, so I wedged a couch against it, though it did close. I was here through air Marco’s transit program for free, so lowering your expectations helps. I brought my own single-use bedding cover and towel and was fine. A tram stop is a ten-minute walk away, and the ride downtown takes 40 minutes. A round trip costs 14MAD and reaches all the tourist attractions.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to stay here during a long layover with royal air Maroc. The place was nasty, smelly, and dirty. Don’t let the great location or exterior fool you. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. You’ve been warned.
