The place looked dated, the sheets didn't seem fresh, and the floors, hallway, sink, and beds all seemed dirty. The shower wall was broken, with glass crumbs all over the floor. My friend showered without noticing them, so I went to reception to report it. The clerk, who had spoken well just an hour earlier, pretended not to understand. He sent the bellman up; when I explained, he acted as if he couldn't see the very obvious glass. When I pointed out the broken glass partition, he just looked confused. Neither of them offered to move us, so I showered using a towel. The next day my friend got sick and couldn't explore the city. I asked the young woman at reception if, to make up for the danger of glass on the shower floor, my friend could check out at 6 pm and rest while we explored the city before traveling to Rabat later. We were supposed to pay 1157 MAD. She calculated around 1750 MAD, for one night with two rooms plus another night in one room since my friend would stay until 6. I said we'd pay 1157, 578,5 for one room and 578,5 for the rest of the day, but we refused to pay for staying in such dangerous conditions. She became rude, loud, and unprofessional, and threatened to call the police if we didn't pay. After a long half hour of bargaining, including a phone call she made, we agreed to pay 1157 MAD and keep one room until 6 pm. As we were leaving, she stopped me to ask why I hadn't requested another room. This is a multi-storey hotel, and staff should be able to communicate decently instead of attacking guests when they're clearly in the wrong. She apologized in the end, probably because she was afraid I'd leave a bad Booking rating. That was only after I pointed out that she and her colleagues hadn't apologized or offered another room.
