A cool, quiet place where you can do your own thing away from the usual guesthouse and hotel rules. It feels like home, with a kitchen you can cook in and a wild area around to explore.

We’d confirmed two nights with the hostel manager for our group of eight, six of us women. I explained that we were friends, not married couples, and offered to take separate rooms. At the last minute, the manager cancelled, saying the hostel’s new policy was to accept families only, not single guests. He then gave us other contacts and said he’d already checked that they had space. That turned out to be untrue: every hostel he’d mentioned was full. In the end, he blocked my number. The whole thing showed a real lack of professionalism and trust, along with what I felt was an extremist, reactionary attitude from the managers. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
