The owner and staff were so welcoming, and the whole experience was amazing. Dar Dalia has quirky, eclectic rooms and a fantastic breakfast. The owner makes his own jams, curd, and yogurt, and the yogurt was the best I’ve ever had. You can tell he really wants his guests to be happy. For me, hospitality and the experience matter more than fluffy pillows, slippers, or a luxury JW Marriott, though someone looking for that kind of luxury might be disappointed. Parking takes some effort on the narrow streets, but I managed to park a 9 passenger van with a bit of maneuvering. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Thank you, Dar Dalia, for an amazing stay!

We had a great time here, and this was one of the highlights of our Morocco trip after Marrakech and Casablanca. The owner and Fatima made us feel very welcome. We arrived to Moroccan mint tea and biscuits, and the terrace was lovely in the evening, with a private feel and a gentle breeze from the mountains. Breakfast had a good selection of traditional Moroccan food, plus real butter and an egg omelette with tea or coffee. I’d recommend it to any traveller, especially couples looking for a personal, cozy atmosphere.

The noisy neighborhood was the one drawback, especially for a room facing the street. People are often outside their homes, and I wouldn’t come in summer because it’s very hot and the neighborhood gets even noisier. Still, I’d visit again. The Dar’s hospitality from Remi, the owner, and Fatima, the assistant, really stood out. They were around to help and make sure we were comfortable, and breakfast made with fresh village ingredients was so good. The location is perfect, right by the stream where a cool breeze comes through. Locals sell fresh orange juice and cut local fruit nearby. It’s also close to the square and old city, just three to five minutes between them through the beautiful narrow alleys.

Remy was always smiling, available, and gave us good advice for enjoying our trip. Dar Dalia is a peaceful, quiet place, well located near the river and the Medina. Our room was clean, and the rooftop was lovely for breakfast or relaxing in the evening. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The person managing the Dar was so kind and helpful, though sadly I can’t remember his name. The place feels like a home away from home, with lovely decor and clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast was delicious and filling, a good start before exploring town. There’s a nice rooftop spot to hang out with a glass of wine or sweet Moroccan tea. Just outside, cross the bridge on your left after the small parking area, then go left and uphill to reach the top of the Medina.
