Dar Elrios

Our room was quiet, clean, peaceful, and well kept, which made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was a pleasure, and the staff were consistently helpful. The interior is tastefully styled, and we got such a warm welcome from the start. It was a lovely, memorable visit to Chefchaouen.

Dar El Río is a little tucked away, but once you find it, it's a charming place with friendly service. My room was spacious, including the bathroom, and the mountain view was gorgeous. I had to leave early for a long drive to Rabat, and they kindly prepared something for me to eat before I set off. I appreciated that a lot. If you can, don't rush off like I did, take your time over breakfast on the rooftop. I'd definitely consider staying at Dar El Río again when I'm back in Chefchaouen.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and Hossam even helped me find a guide and activities. Everyone was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and the rooms were beautiful. I had a great view of the little river and the Spanish Mosque. Though it was cold in winter, the radiator worked nicely and the bed was warm. I'd stay here again. The stairs up to the rooms have short steps, so I took care on them, and there's no elevator. The pillows weren't very soft, but I didn't ask for different ones since it wasn't a big deal to me.

Breakfast on the rooftop was such a lovely way to start the day, and the staff were gentle, kind, and always ready to help. We were upgraded without asking, though we were already very happy with our first room. It was a bit compact, perhaps, but had everything, including a great shower, a great bed, and an incredible view. The deluxe upgrade was roomy and spacious, with a lounge to stretch out in and a magical view from the lounge room window. I nearly forgot the balcony, the view was sensational.
