The owner was nice and accommodating. He let us leave our things after checkout since we still had time before heading back to Tangier. The location was nice, though they could make a few improvements, like adding a shower curtain and fixing up the sink faucet 😅

We were welcomed so warmly and treated like family during our mini honeymoon, which made the stay wonderful. The only snag was a toilet seat that wasn't attached. I had a little tumble in the pot, but even that couldn't spoil the experience.

The location made things easy: it’s close to the Medina’s main gate, where we could catch a taxi to the bus station, and the stay felt safe. We had a traditional, artistic room on the upper floor with a balcony overlooking Wednesday souk. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and although breakfast isn’t served, there are plenty of places to eat outside. The rooms are lovely and spread over three floors. Xaouen can get very cold, especially at night, so ask for extra blankets, since there’s no heater or air conditioning. Very recommended!

Right in the heart of Medina in chefchouen, close to Kasbah and good, cheap food. The rooftop terrace is super. The whole place feels like Aladins castle, with a 1000% authentic oriental style and a unique design. There are lots of room types, each special in its own way, and I looked at a few. The toilets could use a little updating, but everything else is really nice and unusual. I give it 11 points out of 10.
