Hostel Souika

For such a low price, you get a clean room in a great location, and I’d absolutely stay again. Just don’t count on the kitchen for much cooking: there was one large pot, a small pan, and very few plates and pieces of cutlery. When I visited, it also felt more like a hotel than a hostel, without much of a hostel vibe.

There were bedbugs everywhere, it was very cold at night, and there was no hot water. The receptionist was being romantic with my girlfriend.

I only stayed one night, but the rooftop was really spacious and nice. My room had two single beds and a fan. It’s a cheap place, and the staff were great and friendly.

I spent eight days here and felt comfortable, especially after they moved me to the terrace room for women, which had single beds. The location is ideal, just a few steps from several restaurants around the plaza. There’s also a rooftop with a nice sunset view. The kitchen is free to use for cooking, which some other hostels charge for. The price is low compared with nearby hostels, and I’d definitely stay here again when I return to Chefchaouen.
