I was quoted €235 for six days of kite gear, but ended up paying €300. They billed each half-day at €45 and added insurance each time, instead of counting the sessions toward the six-day rate. That made the total much higher, and I found the way the pricing was handled misleading and disappointing. Get the full cost clarified in advance and in writing.

The conditions for kite, foil, and wing are lovely year-round, and the food is great for the price. I always enjoy coming back to Dakhla, especially to the auberge.

The room was inexpensive and the staff were friendly. Meals felt a little skimpy, breakfast in particular. There was no electricity or Wi-Fi in the rooms or shared areas except during limited hours.
