Riad Ksar El Jadida

In the heart of the old Medina in Al Jadida, Raid Ksar had a charming atmosphere and an enchanting location. The staff were attentive, and the girl at reception was incredibly kind and helpful. Her excellent service really made the stay better. I had a wonderful time, and don’t forget to show your appreciation.

Breakfast was plentiful, and for the first time we were served an omelette. The room was pleasant, traditionally designed, and quiet. It’s well located, just a stone’s throw from the cisterns. The receptionist was extremely gentle and nice. I’d come back and recommend it to my friends.

The reception staff were the real problem, incredibly rude. This place is very basic, old, and not worth the price. The residence is very small, with no pool, garden, balcony, or view from the windows. The wifi was weak too. You can find better and cheaper places in most of Europe. My cousin and I took a room. The first night, when we went out, they asked him for the room key. I’ve never seen anywhere make you leave your key like that. Things got worse the next day. I asked about booking another night directly and whether there was a discount. There wasn’t one, and they even asked for more money than Booking. I told the receptionist I’d think about extending, and asked if I could leave my bags for two hours. She rolled her eyes as if I’d asked for something huge and said she’d open the room for anyone, that she couldn’t even wait two hours. In the end I decided to extend, and she came back asking very aggressively for payment right away, even though I’d said I’d pay as usual at checkout. They had my details and my car, so why the rush? It’s very overpriced for what it offers, and the staff and hotel rules suck. Never again!

The apartment was neat and clean, and breakfast left us very impressed. We spent three nights there, from 1 - 4 Oct. 2019. Azedine, our hotel manager, really made an effort to help us feel comfortable and relaxed. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
