We spent a week in room Ghibli and really enjoyed it. Rachid and Latifa were warm and friendly, and everything we wanted was close by, from the beach and Port to restaurants and shops. Dar Lazuli is tucked away in what we think is the best part of the medina.

Having dinner there one night was a highlight, it was sensational. We also felt especially welcome with our baby daughter. Latima and Rasheed were so friendly and helpful and made our four days at Dar Lazuli feel extra special.

We had an apartment with a double bed and a separate area with two beds for our boys, who are 11, and all of us felt comfortable and well looked after. The B&B has lots of cosy seating corners and little tables, and the hostess was truly lovely. It's charmingly decorated and well placed in the Medina, close to the city gate. Breakfast was a hearty Moroccan spread. From the small rooftop terrace you can see over Essaouira, near the bell tower, and right out to the ocean.

We were there from November 16th to 30th, and would gladly come back. Those two weeks were perfect, and we've yet to find a nicer place to stay in Essaouira with such warm people. Raschid and his wife Latifa made it feel like more than a B&B holiday. They were welcoming, always available, quick to help, and took care of things right away. We will definitely return.
