Hotel Coeur de Mogador

Right in the middle of the medina, so there’s noise from people, seagulls and the muezzin most of the time. That comes with the location, though. The rooms were clean, the bathroom was decent and the shower had hot water. Friendly staff, and good value for money. A nice little place.

We’d stay here again. The staff were friendly, and both the rooms and cleanliness were okay. Just keep in mind it’s right by the fish market in the heart of the medina, so the seagulls and calls to prayer can get pretty loud.

We never stayed at the hotel, so I can’t speak to its service, but the owner was incredibly kind when we needed somewhere to wash our clothes. We’d been turned away by every hotel we tried and were nearly ready to give up. On one last attempt, we went into the “heart” of Mogadir, and he agreed to take our laundry for a small fee. The next day it was clean, dry, nicely scented, sorted and carefully packed, just like our mom would have done it. He was sociable and helpful, and I have a feeling he goes out of his way to make guests’ stays pleasant. Thank you again!
