Riad Kafila

The family suite, room 1, had lovely ocean views, and the staff were friendly. But the Wi-Fi signal in the room was very weak, and the shower water only stayed hot for about a minute before turning cold. I raised it with the staff, but the language barrier made it hard to get help. Noise carries easily too, so bring earplugs or a white noise machine. Breakfast was very limited, and the place felt grossly overpriced and mismanaged. It’s supposedly owned by Europeans. I’d avoid staying here unless you’re fine with cold showers. Stay somewhere else.

The view was great, and breakfast was included and good. The staff were really helpful, though the room felt a little small and humid because it’s close to the sea.

Breakfast was excellent, and the location is central in Essaouira. The room and roof terrace both have stunning views.

The main downside was the very low shower pressure. Still, the two-night stay went well: the rooms were clean, the staff super friendly, and breakfast was amazing. Room number 3 and the roof both had amazing views. It was the only riad that kept water in the room. I’d rate it 8/10 and might come back.
