The staff were super nice, the place was really clean, and I enjoyed the breakfasts. It's a traditional riad with beautiful tiles and lots of plants indoors. The apartments are spacious, the bathrooms worked without any problems, and there's a rooftop with a view. It's in the center of the medina, with nice restaurants and shops nearby. I left some money in my apartment, and they sent it back to Marakesh. Thank you so much.

Mariame was a charming, kind and informative instructor for my Moroccan cookery class, and the kitchen is fabulous. We ate what we'd made in the beautiful riad, served by a lovely, funny waiter whose name I should have asked. I had a brilliant morning in Essouria, even though I'm not much of a chef.

Inside the riad is a cooking school, where I had a fantastic lesson with Miriam. She showed me what to do and explained it so well. We made Moroccan salad, fish tarjine and mint tea, and everything was the best I've ever tasted. Have this wonderful experience when you visit Essaouira.

The staff did a great job making us feel welcome, almost like we were at home, and the service was great. We stayed one night at “Maison du Sud” and found the riad peaceful and quiet, which I really loved. The room had a damp smell, though, and that needs fixing. Regular ventilation could take care of it. Even so, they made our night comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you.
