The site was muddy and had no hardstanding, and the staff weren’t friendly. When I raised the shower problems at the main reception, the man talked over me, raised his voice, and said, “No one else has complained.” There’s no shop on site. We asked to buy water and were charged the restaurant rate, 36D for 3 litres. The restaurant itself was good, but my tagine came without vegetables or potatoes. It was very oily, and the bread wasn’t something I could eat. Staff were noisy, talking and using their phones. I had to ask for the table to be cleaned, but the dry cloth left the sticky, dirty marks behind. The showers were awful, with weak water flow and temperatures that kept changing, mostly cold.

Mosquitoes get in if you open the windows, which is the one small downside. Otherwise, this lovely residence is clean and comfortable, with such a calm, peaceful feel. A perfect place for a relaxing stay.

We spent two nights at this great campsite for a visit to Fes, and everything was good. The showers and toilets are at Moroccan standards, but no complaints there. The staff were excellent.

The muddy camping area was a real problem in places. Since this was the only campsite in Fes, we had no choice, though the security guy tried his best to find us a pitch that wasn’t muddy. The showers went from red hot to freezing, and reception was rude and no help when we complained. Bottled water was also very overpriced. A very bad experience, and I wouldn’t return. ☹️

I’d planned a surprise stay for my fiancée and was really disappointed by how things went. At check-in, they told us we couldn’t stay because I’m a Moroccan citizen and she’s a Swedish citizen, unless we showed a marriage certificate. That condition wasn’t stated on the website or in the booking details, which made the situation frustrating and embarrassing. Staff didn’t try to help or find a solution, and we felt uncomfortable. The hotel otherwise seemed nice, but I’d tell anyone booking to check the policies first so they don’t get an unpleasant surprise.
