Zineb at reception was amazing, so polite and knowledgeable. She’s too good for the Riad 🥰 The room felt too small for the price, and the stay didn’t seem worth the money. A bathroom light had burned out, which was pretty inconvenient. Wi-Fi and 4/5G didn’t work on the second floor. There are definitely better options out there.

The house cat was a lovely highlight, and we also got to book a great Hammam experience. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the room was beautiful and spotless, and breakfast was delicious and served with care. A perfect stay in Essaouira, highly recommended!

I felt so relaxed during my stay at Riad Perle d’Eau in Essaouira. It’s beautiful and well located in the Medina, and the staff were amazing, kind, and always helpful.

We were lucky to have a suite overlooking the ocean. We sat with white wine, listening to Adele singing about when she was young and watching people play on the beach below. As I write this, I’m on the upper terrace watching the sun rise over the ocean and hearing the sea hit the rocks. We booked two nights at Riad Perle D’eau, loved it, and added four more. If you’ve never stayed in a riad, do it. It’s like Doctor Who’s Tardis: an unassuming little entrance opens into a beautiful oasis, with a handful of rooms around a central core and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. The staff made our little hotel feel like home while we were far from home. Ishmael always had a welcoming smile and helpful thoughts, and Cabrera arranged a Hamman something or other and then a transcendental massage. I didn’t get everyone’s name, which I feel guilty about, but every single person was welcoming. And breakfast, with so many choices and a fine selection of nibbles, was lovely too. For me, an easy ten out of ten.
