Blue Sky Hôtel

The young woman at the desk was outstanding. The man working after noon was rude and smelled bad, and he was the one serving breakfast, which was a joke. The hotel needs serious work: the chandelier was coated in dust and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the bed was hard as a rock. I won’t come back.

The hotel is in a very central spot in Fez, close to the markets. I liked the reception and outdoor roof terrace, both of which had a Moroccan feel, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant didn’t have everything listed on the menu, and the shower rooms had no glass divider. Still, it’s a beautiful hotel.

The property has an authentic Moroccan feel and a large room, with a decent breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. It could use some updating, but for the price I’m not complaining. The location is brilliant, close to the medina, souks, and restaurants.

We left straight away and found a lovely, quiet riad a few hundred meters away for the same price. The rooms here were tiny and cold, and our heater wasn’t working properly. With a mosque just outside the window, there was no way to sleep through the sound. We could also hear all the other tourists in the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.
