We found this restaurant away from most of the tourist streets, on the rooftop terrace of a dar in Fes medina. The terrace was beautifully decorated and really comfortable. Even though we arrived late, around 8.30pm, the host welcomed us and made the most delicious tagines. The tea was really good too. I'm glad we came across the place.

The family who owns the restaurant were so kind and welcoming. Their food was fresh, homemade, and the best Moroccan food we had in Morocco. Definitely order the meat tagine, chicken lemon tagine and couscous with veggies. You won't regret it.

Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious, with generous portions of excellent, authentic Moroccan food. The host was warm, welcoming and very attentive. I highly recommend it, and the rooftop is beautiful.

The portions were generous and the prices low, and we found both the food and service better than anywhere else we ate in Fes during our four days there. Such a great place!

Finding this spot takes a bit of luck, but it’s up on the rooftop terrace. The food is straightforward, honest home cooking at a fair price. I’d suggest the Chicken Pastilla or Kofta tagine.
