Dar el batoul

When we arrived, we were told our booking had been canceled just two minutes earlier due to an error. The payment was meant to be made on site, but they tried to charge our credit card without asking, and the payment was blocked. They told us not to worry, said they had another room, and asked us to pay the same amount directly to the hotel. After we paid, they escorted us to a different hotel five to seven minutes away without telling us it was another location. We only realized after asking, and found that the new hotel was 50% cheaper than the one we’d booked. We asked them to compensate us for the difference, but they refused, so we requested a full refund. It took two hours and three minutes for them to deal with the issue and resolve our departure. We’d paid for a reservation here and were redirected to a cheaper hotel without notice. They own multiple hotels and seem to do this regularly, so avoid this area if possible.

Breakfast was filling and delicious, the internet was fast, and we had no connection issues. The owner was so welcoming, and both the rooms and bathroom were super clean. I’d fully recommend the hotel for families and large groups.

The staff were very welcoming, and the public parking area at bab jdid is very close by, so we could load our bags easily.

A great place, with nice decor and a very helpful, friendly owner. The location is excellent for getting to the Medina.
