We ended up paying 820DH in cash for another hotel after finally finding a room at 5:30am. Several places in the Nouvelle Ville had turned us away because they had no rooms or there were passport issues. We had to leave the medina after spending more than an hour outside this guesthouse in the rain and cold, exhausted. We were locked out at 2:30am. The door was bolted from inside, and our key wouldn't open it. We called and messaged the owner repeatedly, but got no answer. Even a local tried calling and shouting from the street, with no response. This was completely unacceptable. An owner who can't be reached at night while guests are locked out makes the place feel unsafe and unreliable. I strongly don't recommend staying here.

The guesthouse was spotless and cared for, with several terraces looking out toward the city's oldest mosque. It's in the medina but away from the most touristy part, which gave us a more local feel. We had a great stay. Fatiha and Medhi were so sweet. She made delicious breakfasts, and on our last night she invited us to share tahini dinner with them. Madhi happily showed us around the medina and went with us to several places, including the 6 A.M. taxi for the airport. They made us feel like family. Thank you so much for all the hospitality. In shā’ Allāh we'll see each other again soon!
