Moustapha looked after us with a warm smile, and the riad's architecture and decor are magnificent. Our room was uncomfortably hot, and the old shower only gave a trickle of hot water. The location isn't ideal for exploring the medina on foot, though it's manageable with some effort. We'd recommend getting a guide to visit the medina.

The interior was beautiful, and the service was lovely. The pool was great for cooling off after a long day. I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone staying in Fez.

We lasted about five minutes in the room before deciding to leave. It was filthy, with what looked like leftovers from previous guests, and the supposedly white towels were grey and stank. The furniture was old and in terrible condition. The door wouldn't open properly, one window was just placed over a hole and wasn't secured to the wall, and another wouldn't close. I've never seen a place this bad or this dirty. Don't make the mistake of booking this riad. If an agency books it for you, as ours did, refuse it.

We arrived very late and were still welcomed, fed, and entertained. Dinner was enormous, and the entertainment was really impressive. The place is gorgeous, beautiful, and interesting, and the team took care of everything we needed. We loved our stay.

This is an amazing riad in a beautifully restored 18th-century palace. I was told Al Pacino had stayed in this very riad. The rooms show some wear and tear, but Mona and the rest of the team gave superb service and were always available to help, whatever the time.
