Riad Arabella

The staff were really sweet, and I'd still recommend the place. But they came into my room to clean without telling me. That would've been okay if the owner had apologized, but she stayed defensive and acted arrogantly.

Youssef and the team were welcoming, always available, and helpful with local information. The room was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, and breakfast was freshly cooked and good. The riad is charming, about a 20-minute walk from the heart of the Medina. The guide they recommended, though, was a serious letdown. He rushed through the town's history to take us to one of the Medina's most expensive shops. When he saw we weren't going to buy bags of things, he stopped engaging and then asked us for twice what we'd already paid for the tour at the riad. The riad itself was great, but I'd find my own guide.

The room was great and the staff were helpful, which made our experience really good. The owner, though, was pushy. I'd suggest putting a bottle of water in the room. The services they offer can be pricey too. The airport ride was 25€, while you can find one on the street for just 15€.

I had such a good time at the riad and felt right at home. The rooms were absolutely clean, the building looks amazing, and the lobby was a nice place to chill and eat in the evenings. The people there were great and helped me plan day trips and other things throughout my stay. Breakfast had everything I needed to start the day, and dinner was great with generous portions. I'll be back next year! :)
