The views are the nicest part of this riad. From our room facing the pool, they were gorgeous, especially in the morning light, and the dining area also had a lovely view of the city and sunrise. The staff seemed overworked, but they were very good. The rooms were comfortable, though packed with so much stuff that there was nowhere practical to put our boxes. The bathroom in our room opposite the pool needs a facelift, with everything loose and shaky. The riad makes a grand first impression, but once you're settled in, all the decor feels overwhelming. There's too much everywhere and the style doesn't quite fit together.

A lovely place to unwind, with welcoming and helpful staff and amazing food. Riad Arabesque is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Fes, within walking distance of the souks. The rooms are gorgeous, and the attention to detail is incredible.

Breakfast was part of the mess too. The food was cold and clearly from the day before. The rooms had no safe, no towels, and almost nothing worked, including the shower, electrical outlets, and sink. Even the windows wouldn't close, so air came into the room. No one was there to receive guests at reception, and we had to carry our bags up more than 100 stairs. This was only part of what we saw. I can't understand how Moroccan authorities can let places like this damage tourism in Morocco. It's the worst place I've ever seen, with no services at all. Even if someone offered you a free stay, I'd advise staying home instead.

Of all the hotels we stayed in around Morocco, Riad Arabesque is the one I remember most. It has so much character, and the staff were eager to help however they could.
