Camels House

The calm was one of my favorite parts of the stay. From the terrace, we watched the sun go down over the Erg Chebbi dunes, and the sunrise was even more magical. The apartment in Hassilabied is spacious, clean, and right by the Sahara, with a sparkling pool that was perfect after a morning in the dunes. Mohammed arranged a fantastic quad biking and sandboarding outing. Racing over the sand and sliding down the fine orange peaks gave us an adrenaline rush we'll remember. He and his family welcomed us like their own, shared local traditions, and served homemade food that beat any restaurant we tried. Their care made every detail feel right. Camels House Apartment was the highlight of our Morocco trip. We have stayed in many places around the country, but none matched its warmth and beauty. I can't think of anything to improve, though I wish we could have stayed longer. Ask Mohammed about the sunset quad tour, it was worth every penny and gave us our best photos.

The rooms are roomy and well equipped, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Hamza was so welcoming and attentive, always checking that everything was going well. We were greeted with lovely tea, and the pool was there for a refreshing dip. The view of the Merzouga Dunes is beautiful too. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We especially liked the meals Hamza made and getting to chat with him. He's generous and really friendly. The terrace looks out over the desert, and at night you can see the stars. We caught the sunrise there too, and spent a quiet, relaxing day at the caravanserai. It's within walking distance of the desert. Our room and sheets were clean and comfortable. Hamza and Mohamed were very hospitable during our desert tour stay. I'd happily return as soon as I get the chance.

Hamza and Mohammad were so kind and helpful, and made us feel right at home. Everything was tidy, very clean, and clearly looked after with care. The atmosphere was lovely, and we had a comfortable, relaxing stay. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I'd gladly recommend this welcoming place.
