At first glance the room looks modern, but don't be fooled. It isn't suitable for anyone wanting a clean, hygienic place. The carpet was covered in stains and dirt, the floor clearly hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned, and the sheets smelled unpleasant. The tables were dusty, with who knows whose hair on them. Even the towels were covered in stains and random marks. Run!

After lunch we decided to get out of there and go to a nearby settlement. We booked, but the place looked nothing like the pictures, and after they kept us waiting while doing some final touches, we didn't even see the room. It's close to the dunes, but looked like a run-down Benidorm resort. Avoid.

I don't usually write reviews, but the stay was so memorable that I had to share it. On a business trip to Rissani, I took a break at Kasbah Merzouga. The Sahara dunes all around the hotel were breathtaking, and watching the sunset over them one evening gave me a feeling of peace and wonder I'll always remember. Imad and Farid welcomed me warmly and went out of their way to make the stay feel perfect. Every detail seemed well considered: the decor was elegant and inviting, the hospitality heartfelt, the food a delightful culinary journey, and the activities engaging and fun. I highly recommend Kasbah Merzouga for an unforgettable experience.

Dinner was good, but the music was so loud it felt like eating in a club. The bed wasn't clean, and the sheets were full of other people's hair. They didn't provide proper soap, and there was no heating in the rooms in winter. All the pool sunbeds were dirty too.

The bar service was great. The restaurant looks awesome, but the food and service there weren't good, and it was the first restaurant I'd seen with no prices on the menu. Both the bar and restaurant serve beer for 30 MAD/330 ml. Locals say it's currently the only place in town with liquor.
