The rooms were very clean and cozy, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the small bathrooms. Apart from that, everything was good.

I paid 70 euros a night, though I could have booked online for 40, and paid for three nights in advance. On the third night they offered me a “better room.” I agreed like a muppet, not expecting someone to lie to my face, and ended up in a room at the front of the building on the main road, with traffic noise. They also suggested an official guide. His tour took me to sights I couldn’t enter because I’m not Muslim, plus a leather shop, a rug shop, and a spices shop. That was supposedly worth £50. NOT.

This was the worst part of our whole Moroccan holiday. An “official guide” brought us here even though we’d already booked another hotel, and he made us cancel that reservation. We felt so intimidated that we decided we wanted to travel on our own. Then, in the riad foyer, the guide yelled at us for about ten minutes while the staff watched. We were a young couple on our first day in Morocco, and nothing has ever made us feel more intimidated. We felt so awful that we paid the ridiculously high price and left at 7 the next morning. Avoid this place.

A clean, safe, genuinely authentic Moroccan experience. Simply excellent. Thanks to everyone, especially the manager, Mr Jalil. We really appreciated the ride to the old town and will be back.
