Riad Passiflora

The music from the events and weddings at the venue next door was unbelievably loud all night. It felt like we were inside the party, and at 5 a.m. it was still going. No one answered at the front desk, and none of the phone numbers worked. This was the most horrible hotel night I’ve ever had. I’d seriously stay far away from this place.

We arrived late after driving all day, and the gentleman running this charming little riad gave us a fantastic price. He helped with our luggage and room, pointed us to a really good restaurant, and even gave us water for free. He was the nicest man ever! The riad is outside Fes’s main area, but it was worth staying there for the beautiful interior and good breakfast. We’re so glad we stopped for the night.

The hospitality at Riad Passiflora was amazing, and they were so good with our three-year-old. It’s about 10 minutes from the airport, which suited us well for an early flight home. The old medina is roughly a 20-minute taxi ride away. We had a great stay and would recommend it to people visiting Fes.

My family of five stayed here around Christmas 2019. The hotel was super clean, and the people running it were some of the nicest we’ve met. Breakfast was high quality and plentiful, and dinner at the hotel was delicious and reasonably priced. Rachid, the owner, arranged a taxi to take us around the old town, or Medina. After we got back, my daughter realized she’d lost medication she needed for her health. I told Rachid she might have left it in the cab. He contacted the driver to check, and said that if it wasn’t found, his pharmacist friend could provide a similar medication. Luckily, the driver found it and brought it back that night. Mona, Rachid’s assistant, is just as nice, and the kitchen staff were lovely too. If you’re planning to stay in Fez, do yourself a favor and choose this riad.
