Riad Vega

We felt so well looked after here. The owner can arrange day trips, massages, and guided tours, and the lovely staff brought us coffee and tea each morning. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the riad, and stargazing from the terrace was a treat. I stayed with a group of friends over a long weekend last winter, and everything was amazing. The architecture and interior design were exquisite.

Our group of seven had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all the bedrooms. The host and staff were attentive and accommodating, and really helped make our time in Fes memorable. We also took a cooking class and made the dinner shown in the photos. It was delicious and such a fun experience. We had a lovely stay.

Our group of nine was so glad we chose Riad Vega. The location is extremely convenient, and the host was attentive and helpful, including with tours around Fez and the area. We took a day trip to Meknes and Volubilis. It's a real gem, with lovely rooms and a private bathroom for each bedroom.

Manal and especially Khadija, the caretakers, were the best part of our stay. Khadija looked after our whole family as if she'd known us for ages. There was a big language barrier, but we managed to communicate with gestures and a translator. The riad itself was decent and has five rooms, but the air conditioning in several rooms wasn't working. The owner was very cold toward us, and made things difficult when we wanted to have the family and friends over for dinner. We explained it wasn't a party, just dinner for the adults, but she wouldn't listen. I won't return. The riad is far down narrow lanes, making it hard to remember the right gate, and the AC problems and restrictions on getting together left a bitter impression.
