We only stopped for lunch and ordered a vegetable tajine to share between three, but a chicken tajine came instead. It was okay. With salad and fruit included, the bill was 300 dirham, which seemed expensive for such a remote area.

A lovely couple runs this friendly, unassuming hotel. It was clean, the food was delicious, and there was even a refreshing pool.

There is a swimming pool, though the outdoor space is limited and parking is scarce. The riad sits off the road and can be an option if the larger hotels are full or if you're after more authentic accommodation. The different elements don't feel very harmonious.

The welcome is warm, and dinner is available, which is handy given how far the hotel is from the village. It's close to the road but quiet, with a lovely view over the valley. The room is minimally comfortable: the bedding is clean, but the windows are very dusty, which is a shame with such a splendid view. The air conditioning is infernally noisy. The price is prohibitive, though travelers have few alternatives.
