Hotel Al Mamoun

The room was clean and simple, with no hairdryer or extras, which is about what you’d expect for the price. Reception was friendly, helpful, and available. It’s a short walk to the souk, Marjean, the bus route, and taxi stand. I’d book it again.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff and service were good. The main drawback was the noise. For getting around, the hotel is close to Marjane Inzgane and the main bus station. Al Massira Airport is about 10 minutes away, and there’s a nearby taxi you can take to the airport for 8 DH.

The room faced the bus station and taxi parking, so there was always plenty of activity to watch outside. The hotel is about 7 km from Agadir city center and the beach, which means taking a taxi, though fares are cheap. Breakfast was the letdown: the same pancakes, peach jam, honey, butter, egg, orange juice, and coffee every day, with no ham, vegetables, or cheese. Otherwise, the price felt fair, the A/C worked great, reception was open all the time, and you can pay by card.

We liked the breakfast and the room was tidy with a nice view. Check-in was quick, and the price felt like good value, so we ended up extending our stay for another day. I also liked being next to the mosque. There was a strong drain smell from a spot around the corner, though that’s clearly outside the hotel’s control. Apart from that, it’s a decent place to stay, whatever you think of the location.
