Chambre Maya

We booked in person and paid cash for a quiet winter night after a long bike trip, before taking the ferry. Breakfast was included, but after this experience we won’t stay there again. There was a puddle in the room because the dog had peed there. The woman who greeted us cleaned it up quickly with a cloth, and the night itself was OK. In the morning, nobody was around at breakfast time. We waited and called the owner without getting an answer. Later we found the woman and asked about breakfast. She gestured that she felt unwell and needed to lie down, and said she couldn’t reach her boss either. She also said she had no money to refund us. We kept trying until midday, but got nowhere, and nobody ever contacted us afterward.

Nice view and great stuff. There are some markets nearby where you can pick things up, though the cleanliness wasn’t what I expected.

The staff are especially good, and their behavior is really kind. This is the best hotel in the area for me, with very good service and budget-friendly prices. ❤️🥀🇧🇩

Chambres Maya was a great choice for being near Tanger Med Port, just a short grand taxi ride for 5 DH. You can flag one down on the main road, and there are also some restaurants within walking distance. The terrace views were lovely, and my room was comfortable, clean, and in good condition. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I’d seen comments about noise, but it didn’t bother me much. I always bring earplugs anyway.
