Le Patio du Lac

The design is really good, and in the evening a wood fire and candlelight make the „lobby“ feel like a living room. There’s a nice view of the lake from the rooftop. The owner is very friendly, and Aline teaches yoga too.

Aline and her team, Mohamed, Habiba, made us feel so welcome, almost like family. Habiba made unbelievable homemade breakfast and dinner, and Mohamed was ready to help with everything and is the master of the fireplace. The lake and snow-covered Atlas Mountains look amazing from here, and it’s about 30 minutes from Marrakech. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back! ❤️🙏🏻

The location is great, and the hotel is beautifully furnished with plenty of room to swim, read and relax. Breakfast has a good variety, with different breads, crepes, fruit and omelets. I know from other hotels in Morocco that breakfast can also be served past ten. The staff members tried hard to be friendly, but the management and employees often had loud arguments, even in front of surprised guests. That made the atmosphere colder and unwelcoming. The greeting was a little cold too. The French manager checked me in while on a phone call and didn’t pause it, and she doesn’t speak English at all, which made communication difficult. For all its good points, the place lacked warmth, authenticity and hospitality.

We were travelling and needed somewhere for one night at the last minute. Lalla Takerkouste wasn’t planned as a stop, but Aline and the staff welcomed us warmly. After a busy day, relaxing by the roaring fire on very comfortable furniture was a wonderful finish. The decor was thoughtfully done, with touches of traditional berber life and a nice hint of luxury.
