Ouirgane Ecolodge

The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed, with nice en-suite bathrooms. Both the lush garden and pool look out over the mountains, and the secluded, quiet location feels very private. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A great choice if you want nature and comfort together.

We only stayed one night, but we’ll be back. Even in one of the lower-priced rooms, everything was perfect, including a great shower. The place is tucked among a few properties at the edge of the mountains, and it’s wonderfully calm, with lots of spots around the hotel to relax. The restaurant was great too.

We had a lovely, relaxing two-night stay. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and accommodating, and the relaxed gardens were a nice setting for breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts were generous and delicious, and evening meals were good too. The pool was pristine and very welcome in the heat. The kittens and baby goats added to the charm. Our first room didn’t have the view we’d hoped for, which left us a little disappointed, but the team quickly offered us another when we mentioned it. They’re clearly working to make the lodge special and are well on the way. A couple of small improvements could make it even better, like having drinking water in the bedrooms on arrival and serving better coffee. We’d recommend staying here.

I spent two relaxing nights at the lodge, enjoying the peaceful grounds, mountain solitude, and friendly staff. I arranged my own hike through the local Berber villages with Berbere Atlas Experience. Said was wonderful, and I highly recommend him. Breakfast was good, with typical Morrocan fare, but lunch and dinner were just okay. I had better meals elsewhere during my trip.
