Really nice, clean apartment, and the reception staff were great.

For the price, it’s convenient, cozy and right in the middle of Gueliz, within walking distance of Carré eden and other entertainment spots. It’s quiet, so you can sleep well, and the sheets and towels were clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The place could use some maintenance, though nothing major. It was a bummer that there was a coffee machine but no complimentary coffee capsules. For the price, it’s worth it.

The location is fantastic, with a big shopping center across the road, including a Carrefour that sells alcohol. Domino's pizza, McDonald's and other fast food places are a couple of minutes away if that’s your thing. There are also restaurants, bars and Moroccan eateries all around. The apartment is clean and comfortable, with sunny windows in the kitchen/lounge and bedroom that make it bright and airy. There’s a stove and fridge, so you can shop and cook for yourself, like at home. A brighter kitchen light would help, and I couldn’t get the TV working, though I don’t watch much TV so it wasn’t a big deal. It’s an excellent place. I can’t say enough good things, and I’ll definitely return. In fact, I’ve already booked my next visit.

We stayed 10 nights in December 2024 in the Ambre apartment. We liked the size and layout, and there were some good basics: comfortable beds, very clean bedding, clean couches, good wifi, and a fridge freezer, microwave, 2 burner hob, kettle, pots and pans, cutlery, glasses, washing up liquid and a sponge. But I’m very wary of positive reviews about Mustafa. He was rude and unpleasant, and when I asked about a bulb he pointed to the reception corridor and said, "Look one light." He said, "Guests don't complain," and clearly wasn’t going to replace it. That response over a simple bulb was unacceptable. The biggest issue was staff going into the apartment while we were out. One day, just after we left, a receptionist went in and spent a long time going through the fridge, where we had cooked food. She tried to open an aluminium container that was clearly empty, then opened a chest of drawers in a bedroom and left it open. Another time, a receptionist called to ask if I wanted housekeeping, then came up with the cleaner and a man. The receptionist and cleaner walked in, and she started moving the dining table and taking a chair without explaining why. I had to ask. The door was open the whole time, with the man standing there. She hadn’t mentioned any of that during the call or told me to make myself decent. The air conditioning in one bedroom didn’t work. It took them 3 days to fix it, and meanwhile we asked for and got a small heater. Even before the AC was fixed, they asked for the heater back because staff at reception were cold. We kept it because we needed it. There were plenty of light fittings, but many bulbs were missing and the working ones were very dim, making the apartment feel uninviting and claustrophobic. The kitchen bulb was out too. I asked them to change it, but after a few days nothing had happened, so I asked again. After 11pm one night, someone called to offer to change it then or before 8am the next morning. That was a disrespectful time to call, and who wants to wake before 8am on holiday? Mustafa came after 11pm with the wrong bulb, and it was never replaced. We had to cook using our phone for extra light because the only working light was far from the hob and very dim. Other problems: there were no cups or mugs, so it wasn’t clear how they expected us to have coffee or tea. There were no English channels on the TV at all. I don’t watch much TV on holiday, but it’s nice to catch up on the news over dinner. The large balcony had okay views, but despite the photos showing patio furniture, there was none. It didn’t feel inviting, wasn’t cleaned or swept, and the railings were so dirty we couldn’t hang clothes on them even after trying to clean them. Supplies and upkeep were poor, too. We got one roll of toilet paper for 3 days per apartment and one towel each for 3 days. The bedding wasn’t changed or offered to be changed during our 10 days. The curtains were disgusting: in one bedroom, one was hanging over the door and fell down whenever we opened it; the smaller one in the other bedroom was horrible. Although toiletries were advertised, all we got was a tiny bar of soap and two tiny 15ml bottles of something in the shower. We couldn’t tell what they were and used them to clean the toilet bowl. The shower head hanger was broken, so I had to hold the shower head the whole time, making it hard to wash and massage my scalp. Two people couldn’t shower one after the other without waiting for the water to heat up again, which could take an hour or more. There were no hangers either.

Khadija and Rajaa made our stay feel special. They were so friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious, clean and peaceful, and the location was great. We’ll definitely come back ❤️
