Riad Ma Boheme

Our booked Riad couldn't take us, so we ended up here. Finding it took a little effort: it's one street behind the main square, near the bank. Once inside, everyone was welcoming, helpful, and spoke several languages. Breakfast was lovely too. The bed was so comfortable I could barely convince myself to get up.

Once I'd found it the first time, getting back was easy. I had a good, affordable stay, though my ground-floor room was right by the breakfast seating and got very noisy early in the morning. I could hear guests eating and staff getting breakfast ready. That was my only complaint.

Tucked into the busy souk, the place has a nice calm feel. The staff are really friendly, and the pizzas are great with veggie choices and the option to customize them. It's a welcome change from the usual tagines and couscous, though they serve those too.

I loved how cosy and homely the renovated rooms felt, with their authentic look and rustic touches. Each had its own bathroom. The hosts were very helpful, and the staff speak French and English. There's a restaurant on site and breakfast was great. I wish I'd had more time to stay.
