This was probably the nicest budget-friendly place we stayed on the whole trip, and it was great value. The host was so friendly, and breakfast was delicious. The room was beautifully decorated, with a private bathroom and a great shower. It also had things we hadn't found elsewhere, including air conditioning, a hair dryer, and a mini fridge.

The shared courtyard garden is amazing, and so is the rooftop. The rooms are what you'd expect for the price, and the people were extremely pleasant and hospitable. They made us the best tajine we'd had so far. We spent one night at the riad, Chez Youssef. Because of the weather, we couldn't do the basic camp stay they offer and were instead arranged a night at the luxury camp. Even so, based on what friends said, we'd recommend booking Chez Youssef's basic camp experience.

When my boyfriend got sick, the family were especially kind and concerned. They moved us to a different, very comfortable room, let us cook special food, and helped me find medicine without my even needing to ask. Their thoughtfulness really stayed with us, and we left very happy with our time there. We were at this beautiful, welcoming riad in early September 2024. The family were friendly from the moment we arrived and helped us arrange a desert camping trip, wash our clothes, and find places to go. You can walk straight from the riad to the desert, and the whole desert experience was well worth it.

Yousef is brilliant and really accommodating. He handled our last-minute food requests, and the food was delicious. He also helped arrange our desert tour and kept our bags safe. Lovely place in a great location.
