I arrived early by motorcycle at the parking lot listed when I booked, which is a hotel with a swimming pool. While I waited for Mohammed, the owner, to recover from the tiring journey, I went straight for a swim. My motorcycle was parked safely. At the camp, Mohammed II welcomed us and treated us like royalty with his kindness and professionalism. I’ve stayed at other desert camps, but I’ve never seen this level of cleanliness, order, attention to detail, or kindness. Chef Hassein cooked a perfect dinner and breakfast. After dinner, everyone gathered by the fire to sing live Berber songs and share our adventures. It was a wonderful experience, and I was sad to leave because I felt right at home. Thank you all. I was speechless.

A huge thank you to Ms. Louiza, Mohammed, Smail, and the whole Asama Camp team. It was a peaceful haven and we had a very pleasant stay. We arrived in time to get to camp, and enjoyed the location, the food, and the evening entertainment from the guys. The sunrise and sunset at Mergouga were magnificent. I highly recommend this place.

We got to experience Sahrawi tradition in a modern, 21st-century setting. The place itself is beautifully arranged, with thoughtful decor.

We ended up dancing beneath the stars, laughing and sharing the evening under the Saharan sky. The Berber musicians were captivating, and dinner was a four-course Moroccan feast. Our bivouac felt like a dream, especially the luxurious tent, though it was very cold 🥶🥶🥶. After a magical night, we were up very early to watch the sun rise over the dunes. ✨🏜️🌙
