Room-over Night at Merzouga Sahara Deser

Christmas nights and early mornings were cold, especially inside the tent, though the blankets kept us warm enough. The camp itself was gorgeous, clean, and clearly well cared for, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. They made a point of cooking different things each day, and the food was delicious. We saw a few other camps while driving around the dunes, and this was one of the best-looking ones. A magical stay ❤️

When my stomach was bothering me, the owner brought lemons for my water and mint tea, which was really kind. The team were friendly and accommodating throughout, especially Oday and Omar, who went out of their way to help us. They also arranged a magical drive through the desert. Our tent was spacious, with a nice bathroom and a table outside, and the food was very good. At night, with the lights off, you can see all the stars.

We stayed two days, which worked out perfectly. We came in on camels, had a really lovely dinner, and woke up the next morning with some trips planned. There was even a warm shower. Really nice experience!

The tents are roomy and well equipped, and the camp sits right at the edge of the Erg Chebbi desert. Jeeps and quads can get noisy sometimes, but this felt like a quieter corner of that natural jewel in southeastern Morocco. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
