Hasan was a very kind, easygoing guy, and we enjoyed our stay. There were no hookups, but we could use the pool showers and toilets. We booked a camel tour, sand riding, and dinner in the desert, and left our camper van parked here. Since we had a dog, someone brought us back by 4x4 around 11:30 pm. Breakfast the next morning was good, though service was slower if you’re not Korean. It was a good price at 50MAD per person.

We came here to relax and didn’t book any activities, though Lhou offers camel riding and dune driving. There was construction while we were there, but it didn’t bother us. The place is clean, has a pool with a desert view, and the room had enough air conditioning to escape the heat. The host was welcoming and kept checking that we had what we needed. A cheerful young man served our delicious, generous breakfast and dinner, and the laundry was quick and affordable. Lhou’s dar is a peaceful haven at the edge of the Sahara, with lovely details and great hospitality. It’s a must visit in Merzouga if you want to swim while looking out over the desert.

I stayed one night and joined the desert tour. The activities were so much fun, and all the staff were really friendly. Best of all, the food was absolutely delicious. I came with five friends, and every one of them was happy with the experience. I’d definitely recommend it!

The tour was perfect, and the camp was a great place to stay. Hassan is kind and works incredibly hard. I’ve stayed in many places while traveling around the world, and this was one of the best for room condition. Just don’t expect a Hyatt. There are plenty of staff, and you can see them cleaning and preparing constantly, paying attention to even small details. The price can look a little high at first, but it covers a private room, hearty and delicious breakfast and dinner, and laundry, so it felt like good value. I had planned to do only the tour, but ended up staying three more days because the place was so comfortable. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting the Sahara Desert. The photo shows Hassan giving an old guy a ride while he was hitchhiking.

Our one night in the Merzouga desert was incredible, and Hassan’s service was the best I’ve ever experienced. He replied quickly whenever I messaged, arranged an airport taxi so we didn’t have to find one, and even gave our group of five two rooms to rest and shower before the tour, although we arrived in the morning and weren’t staying at the hotel. The Sahara tour was stunning. We rode camels, had a delicious, hearty Moroccan meal, then went on an exciting ATV ride with beautiful desert views. At the sunset viewpoint we tried sandboarding, and our lovely guides took great photos. Back at camp, dinner was another delicious, authentic Moroccan meal, followed by a great live performance around the campfire. The night sky was full of stars. Hassan generously let us use two rooms at no extra cost, and the room was cosy and warm with a good bathroom. After the night in the camp, we could shower in our room back at the hotel and have breakfast. His thoughtfulness really touched me. Thank you for the souvenir and for giving us such a precious memory in Morocco. If you’re going to Merzouga, don’t hesitate to book here.
